How it works

Three steps, then it runs itself.

  1. It starts from your site

What you already rank for in Search Console, and the topics close to it.

  2. It sizes up the competition

Who ranks for each search today: forums, old posts and thin pages are signs you can win.

  3. It plans the page

Searches no page of yours covers become content gaps in your queue, or hit Write this on any of them yourself.

One keyword, in depth

Know what to do before anyone writes a word.

Where does the keyword data come from?

Your own Search Console for the searches you already appear in, and DataForSEO for search volumes, difficulty and the current results.

What makes a keyword winnable?

Its difficulty for your site, from 0 to 100. We start from how strong the pages ranking now are, then raise it when the sites on page one are much stronger than yours or the search is very popular. Under 50, a good page can rank without links from other sites, so those are the ones we pick for you. From 50 up a page needs links too, so we leave those to you: you can still ask for any search to be written.

Does it work for a brand-new site?

Yes. With no Search Console history yet, it starts from your topic and competitors and only picks searches under 50 difficulty for your site, so your first articles have a real chance.

How are keywords grouped?

By the pages Google ranks for them. If two keywords bring up mostly the same top 10, one page can rank for both, so they share a group. Grouping by similar words alone often pairs searches Google treats differently.

Do I have to pick the keywords?

No. Autopilot picks the best ones for you. Pick by hand when you want to steer what gets written.
