pages found, read, listed

Edit it if you like, then upload it so it opens at damianhodgkiss.com/llms.txt.

How it works

Three steps, no sign-up.

  1. Enter your site

Your domain. We find your sitemap ourselves, or read your main pages if there isn’t one.

  2. We write the file

A short summary of your site, then your key pages grouped into sections, each with a one-line description.

  3. Upload it

Copy or download the file and put it at yoursite.com/llms.txt. Most CMSs and hosts let you add it in a minute.

What it checks

What goes into the file.

  • A summary of your site

Who you are and what you offer, in a sentence or two at the top.

  • Pages grouped by section

Products, guides, docs and company pages, under clear headings.

  • Only pages worth reading

Tag pages, archives, logins and thin pages left out.

  • A line for every link

What each page is about, written from its title and content.

  • The standard format

Plain Markdown that follows the llms.txt proposal, ready to upload.

    What is this?
  • Copy or download

Edit it if you like. It’s your file.

What is llms.txt?

A plain text file at the root of your site that lists your most useful pages for AI tools, a bit like a sitemap written for language models. It was proposed in 2024 and plenty of sites have added one.

Does llms.txt help me get cited?

Honestly, it’s unproven. The big AI engines haven’t said they use it. It takes a minute to add and does no harm, so it’s worth having, but clear pages that answer questions directly matter far more.

Where do I upload it?

At the root of your domain, so it opens at yoursite.com/llms.txt. On WordPress, a plugin or your host’s file manager does it. On Shopify and Webflow, use a redirect to a file you host.

Do I need an email to get the file?

No. Copy it or download it straight away.
