    How it works

    Three steps, about a minute.

    1. Enter a page

Any article or guide. Pages about health, money, safety or the law are held to more.

    2. We look for the evidence

Who wrote it, what shows they know the subject, what it cites, and whether the site says who runs it.

    3. Add what’s missing

A score for each part of E-E-A-T, the evidence behind it and what to add first.

    What it checks

    The signals we look for.

    • Author

A named author with a bio, their credentials or role, and a page of their own.

      What is this?
    • First-hand experience

A passage where the writer did or used the thing themselves, with the details and results to show it.

    • Sources

Links to other sites, and whether any are primary: research, official data or the maker’s own docs.

    • Dates

When the page was published or last updated, shown or marked up.

    • Trust pages

An About page, contact details and policies that say who stands behind the site.

    • Markup

Author and organisation details in schema, so search engines can connect the dots.

      What is this?

    Opportunity queue

Every article CitedSEO writes is checked for this first.

CitedSEO fact-checks claims against sources, cites them, adds your author details, and keeps dates and facts current as pages age.

    Get in touch
    Is it free?

Yes. You see the scores straight away. Leave your email for every check with its evidence and what to add first, as a spreadsheet and a link back to the report you can save as a PDF.

    Is E-E-A-T a ranking factor?

Not a single score Google measures. It’s how Google’s guidance and its quality rater guidelines describe content people can trust, and Google says its systems give it the most weight on health, money and safety topics. Our score is our check of what the page shows, not Google’s.

    How do you judge experience?

AI reads the page for a passage where the writer did the thing themselves, results they saw and a bio that says how they’ve done this work. Each one counts only when we find its exact words on the page, and we show you the quote. We don’t look at photos.

Does it change anything on my site?

No. It reads the page, and the author, About and Contact pages it links to. Nothing is installed or changed.
